Hi Everyone!

Just popping in to share a little tip on making products work for you – and using up some scraps in the process. I’m sure, by now, you’ve all seen the displays of Smash books and related products, all stacked up and pretty in the stores. The allure proved too much for me and I bought one, then realized that there were many pages that just didn’t appeal to me that much. I loved the idea of a ready-made book, but some of the graphics just weren’t for me. In order to turn it into a book that I would actually use, I broke put my trusty gesso, my scrap pile, and my bucket of washi tape. You may recognize some of them – they’re all from old Cocoa Daisy kits!

It took a while to add all the gesso and paper, but in the end, I love the way it turned out. It was all ready to go to beach week with me. I’m a big fan of taking a ready-made book with me when I travel!

I liked having the chance to see some of my favorite patterns again. I miss Sassafras Lass so much!

I’m not finished assembling the album with all its photos yet, but wanted to share a little peek. Remember, when you’re faced with a product that just isn’t “you,” don’t be afraid to play around with it and turn it into something you love!
